Job Description:


  • System level validation experience in system level test content development and issue triage
  • Familiarity with full stack system level validation including applications, frameworks and tools, Linux OS, ROCm + driver stack installation and debugs, system level BMC and BIOS configurations, in band and out of band GPU tools, AMD debug tools and log collection.
  • Understanding on virtualization concepts and OS configurations
  • Ability to triage system level test failures and seek out appropriate support ownership and drive to closure with cross functional teams.
  • Strong system level validation experience across SW, HW and FW components
  • Ability to help drive test plan definition from existing test content based on incremental changes and bug fixes. Ability to direct team to enhance test content as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop high-performance C++ functional models for AMD SoCs and platforms.
  • Work with internal and external customers to help debug problems running their workloads on the models.
  • Develop test plans and tests' functionality of the models.
  • Improve functionality, stability, and performance of existing models.
  • Develop new, innovative modeling features to assist in debugging workloads. Establish an understanding of new designs by working closely with architecture teams.

Preferred Experience

  • High-performance system and application software in C/C++ for Windows and/or Linux environments.
  • Understanding system architecture and system software development.
  • x86, ARM or GPU architecture, drivers, and applications.
  • Linux and Windows kernel debugging.
  • Functional modeling, architecture simulation, or hypervisor development.
  • QEMU, VirtualBox or SIMCS
