SHIFT: 2-2-3 schedule - PM shift - 6pm-6am

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a dynamic and self-driven Downstream Supervisor for a night shift role in a leading manufacturing company:

  • Downstream Operations: Supervise the use of single-use cell culture vessels and bioreactors (up to 2000L), bacterial fermentation vessels, continuous flow centrifuges, and disposable magnetic mixing systems. Manage cell expansion, propagation, and cryopreservation.
  • Filtration Systems: Operate medium to large-scale filtration systems like tangential flow filtration (TFF) and depth filtration, and manage chromatographic systems (e.g., ÄKTA). Handle single-use mixing systems and connectivity types.
  • Solution Preparation: Prepare media and buffers from raw materials, including compounding, mixing, testing, and filtration. Perform integrity testing of filters.
  • Supervisory Duties: Oversee daily manufacturing activities, including staff management, hiring, performance evaluations, coaching, and training. Implement safety and quality assurance programs.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Develop, review, and maintain SOPs, Buffer Formulation Records, and Batch Production Records (BPRs). Ensure adherence to cGMP regulations and lead deviation resolution. Support R&D during development and scale-up.

Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Experience in cGMP environments and training.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and handle varying schedules.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Use of personal protective equipment and handling hazardous materials.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in a related field with three years of experience; OR
  • Bachelor’s degree with five years of experience; OR
  • Associate degree with seven years of experience; OR
  • High School/GED with nine years of experience.
  • Minimum two years in a leadership role and three years in a GMP environment.
