SENIOR BUYER

Location: Stafford, TX

Work Hours: Monday- Friday, Day Shift

Pay Rate: $60K-75K annually

Our client is a valve manufacturer located in Southwest Houston and they are seeking a SENIOR BUYER to join their team

This is a DIRECT-HIRE opportunity, with a salary rate starting at $65k annually

Seeking an experienced SENIOR BUYER specializing in machining services procurement. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with a strong background in purchasing, inventory management, and supply chain management, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Manage procurement activities for machinery parts, including inventory replenishment, special orders, and supplier performance evaluations.
• Process purchase orders and requisitions for stock replenishment and special-order requirements.
• Monitor and manage open orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any delays.
• Evaluate vendor performance using supplier evaluation tools and build strong supplier relationships.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure optimal supply chain flow and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Review slow-moving and excess inventory to determine reconfiguration or substitution options.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality management standards, and internal audit processes.
• Expedite open purchase orders to maximize stock availability and on-time delivery.

The Experience:

• 4+ years of PURCHASING Experience; REQUIRED
• Microsoft Office and ERP Knowledge, REQUIRED
