Technical Writer

We are seeking an exceptional technical writer to join our clients’ Web Services team. As a Technical Writer for their Web Services team, you will be responsible for creating and publishing technical documentation for their technology platform. This includes developing developer's guides and detailed API documentation that accurately conveys the functionality and usage of their platform components. You will collaborate closely with software developers to understand complex systems, create sample applications, and effectively communicate technical concepts to a developer audience. This position will report onsite in Seattle, WA.
Key Responsibilities:
- develop, and deliver documentation for the Foundational Web Services platform
- content re-use and single-sourcing strategies to maximize efficiency and consistency
- in evaluating and selecting tools and technologies for the technical publications team
Qualifications
- years of experience in a writing or lead writing role
- ability to work with developers and write for a developer audience
- with a programming language such as Java, C#, or C++
- experience designing documentation for software APIs
- interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- with XML-based publishing systems preferred
- experience with web services and related technologies is a plus
