Oracle Database Developer
Tandym Group is looking for a Senior Oracle Database Developer to support a top government integrator in Merrifield, VA.
Responsibilities:

  • Researches, designs, develops, tests, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or application software.
  • Analyzes user business software system requirements and determines needs.
  • Determine the functionality of an application and performs upgrades over time.
  • Maintains documentation to support software development policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Assist team with preparation of cost estimates.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of experience.
  • Oracle Database development experience (PL/SQL scripting, SLQ optimization)
  • C/C++ Development
  • UNIX/Linux experience (Shell scripting)
  • Support existing Java/Eclipse/WebSphere application.
  • Perform software development, testing, and provide support in all phases of the software lifecycle.
  • Perl scripting
  • Windows experience
  • Ability to perform analysis and design.
  • In depth knowledge of software engineering techniques and concepts.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to work independently or coordinate as part of a development team with other software engineers.
  • Knowledge of computer data-structures and algorithms
  • Software quality assurance experience
  • Ability to provide support to issues in production.
