Social Media Manager

Job Description:
The Social Media Manager will be responsible for planning, creating, and managing engaging content across all social media platforms to drive awareness, engagement, and ticket sales. The ideal candidate should be an expert in digital marketing with a strong grasp of sales funnels, marketing storytelling, and platform-specific best practices. Additionally, this individual should have design skills for post creation, be comfortable on camera for green screen content, and be well-versed in MLP’s brand guidelines to maintain consistency and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
• Content Strategy & Creation: Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy that aligns with MLP’s goals and brand identity.
• Platform Management: Manage and optimize content for all major social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
• Design & Creative Production: Create high-quality, visually appealing posts, stories, and other digital assets using design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva).
• On-Camera Presence: Record engaging video content using green screen technology for dynamic, interactive posts.
• Storytelling & Campaigns: Build marketing narratives that guide audiences through a cohesive journey, leveraging a strong understanding of sales funnels to convert views into ticket sales, registrations, and engagement.
• Community Engagement: Foster a vibrant, engaged online community by responding to comments, messages, and fostering discussions.
• Brand Alignment: Ensure all social media content aligns with MLP’s brand guidelines, upholding a consistent and high-quality voice and aesthetic.
• Performance Analysis: Monitor and report on key performance metrics, adjusting strategy based on data insights to optimize results.
• Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sponsorship, and media teams to synchronize social media initiatives with broader campaigns and events.
• Trend Monitoring: Stay updated on social media trends, emerging platforms, and industry innovations to keep MLP at the forefront of digital marketing.
Requirements:
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in social media management, preferably within sports, entertainment, or a related industry.
• Knowledge of MLP: A strong understanding of Major League Pickleball’s format, audience, and competitive landscape.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in social media management tools, design software, and basic video editing.
• Design Abilities: Strong skills in creating visually appealing content (experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite preferred).
• On-Camera Confidence: Comfortable being featured in social media videos and using green screen technology for content production.
• Marketing Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of sales funnels and how to craft marketing stories that convert.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with a knack for witty, engaging copy.
• Analytical Mindset: Ability to analyze data and translate it into actionable strategy adjustments.
• Brand Adherence: Strong attention to detail to maintain and reinforce brand consistency.
• Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with pickleball and a passion for sports.
• Background in video production and live-streaming tools.
• Experience in influencer collaboration and partnership activation.
