About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Histology Technician to join our In Vivo Pharmacology - Oncology team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the preclinical and clinical development of innovative cancer therapies. Your contributions will directly impact the advancement of cutting-edge treatments that improve patient outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:

Histology and Immunohistochemistry: Process, embed, and section FFPE and frozen tissues.

  • Perform IHC, IF, and ISH staining techniques.
  • Utilize automated immunostainers (e.g., Leica Bond, Ventana).
  • Analyze tissue samples using quantitative image analysis tools (e.g., ImageJ, Indica Labs HALO, QuPath).

Data Management and Analysis: Manage and organize data using LIMS.

  • Perform basic data analysis and statistical calculations.
  • Utilize Indica Labs HALO Link for image management and digital pathology data processing.


Qualifications:

Education: Associate's degree or higher in a relevant scientific field (e.g., biology, histology, laboratory science).

Experience: 1+ years of experience in histology, with a strong focus on IHC.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, and staining techniques.

  • Experience with automated immunostainers and image analysis software.
  • Familiarity with mouse tissue handling and quantitative image analysis.


Note:

  • This is a 1-year contract position with the potential for extension.
  • On-site presence in Boston, MA is required.
