Our client (of Ascendum Solutions) is seeking a seasoned Solutions/Application Architect with a strong background in architecture and extensive experience in application development, cloud environments, and system integration. Your role will involve crafting and promoting architectural frameworks, solving complex technical challenges, and mentoring teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the Enterprise Architecture strategic plan, including standards and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with technology teams and business leaders to design and architect new applications, ensuring alignment with project requirements and timelines.
  • Review and ensure the quality of architecture/design documents and technical approaches across multiple tech stacks.
  • Mentor teams on best practices for design, implementation, and testing to improve code quality and maintainability.
  • Communicate technical solutions to stakeholders and prepare necessary documentation.
  • Enforce architecture standards and governance, including creating architecture diagrams and ensuring compliance with security standards.


Requirements:

  • 10+ years in IT with 5-8+ years in an architectural role.
  • Mastery in application development using Java, Golang, or Python, with experience in microservices and Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of cloud environments (primarily AWS) and SecDevOps practices.
  • Proficient in system representation using UML or C4.
  • Experience with Agile/JIRA best practices for project delivery.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of authentication/authorization standards (OpenID, SAML, OAuth, JWT, etc.) and IT Architectural frameworks (TOGAF).
  • Understanding of service mesh and TechRadar practices.
  • Ability to maintain application roadmaps and align them with long-term strategic goals.
