We are currently seeking multiple dynamic and detail-oriented Buyers for our client, a leading manufacturer in the engine and transmission sector. As a Buyer, you'll play a pivotal role in the sourcing and procurement of essential parts, directly impacting the production efficiency and innovation of high-quality engine and transmission components. Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute procurement activities for raw materials, goods, and services essential for engine and transmission manufacturing.
  • Analyze statistical data to establish price objectives and determine the feasibility of purchasing products.
  • Approve, qualify vendors, obtain quotes, examine bids, make awards, and ensure follow-up through order completion.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices without compromising on quality and reliability.
  • Select or recommend suppliers based on thorough analysis and trends, ensuring adherence to budgets and schedules.
  • Uphold anti-corruption ethics, laws, and regulations throughout all procurement activities.
  • Utilize ERP/MRP and other computing systems effectively for procurement processes.
  • Engage with all levels of internal and external management to foster strong relationships and ensure supply chain excellence.
  • Drive moderate to substantial improvements in systems and processes to enhance supply chain performance.
  • Address complex problems requiring comprehensive information gathering, analysis, and investigation, offering innovative solutions.


JOB REQUIREMENTS


  • Proven experience in procurement or buying within a manufacturing environment, especially in engine and transmission sectors.
  • Strong ability to analyze data, understand market trends, and make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and proficient in various computing applications related to procurement.
  • Demonstrated skill in negotiating with suppliers and understanding of supply chain mechanics.
  • Knowledge of applicable anti-corruption laws and ethical practices in procurement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with all management levels.


Preferences:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or related field.
  • Experience in making process improvements within supply chain operations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to innovate in complex situations.
  • Familiarity with the manufacturing sector, particularly engine and transmission components.
