We are currently seeking multiple dynamic and detail-oriented Buyers for our client, a leading manufacturer in the engine and transmission sector. As a Buyer, you'll play a pivotal role in the sourcing and procurement of essential parts, directly impacting the production efficiency and innovation of high-quality engine and transmission components. Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute procurement activities for raw materials, goods, and services essential for engine and transmission manufacturing.
- Analyze statistical data to establish price objectives and determine the feasibility of purchasing products.
- Approve, qualify vendors, obtain quotes, examine bids, make awards, and ensure follow-up through order completion.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices without compromising on quality and reliability.
- Select or recommend suppliers based on thorough analysis and trends, ensuring adherence to budgets and schedules.
- Uphold anti-corruption ethics, laws, and regulations throughout all procurement activities.
- Utilize ERP/MRP and other computing systems effectively for procurement processes.
- Engage with all levels of internal and external management to foster strong relationships and ensure supply chain excellence.
- Drive moderate to substantial improvements in systems and processes to enhance supply chain performance.
- Address complex problems requiring comprehensive information gathering, analysis, and investigation, offering innovative solutions.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience in procurement or buying within a manufacturing environment, especially in engine and transmission sectors.
- Strong ability to analyze data, understand market trends, and make informed purchasing decisions.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and proficient in various computing applications related to procurement.
- Demonstrated skill in negotiating with suppliers and understanding of supply chain mechanics.
- Knowledge of applicable anti-corruption laws and ethical practices in procurement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with all management levels.
Preferences:
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or related field.
- Experience in making process improvements within supply chain operations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to innovate in complex situations.
- Familiarity with the manufacturing sector, particularly engine and transmission components.
