The firm is seeking to hire an Associate Attorney with at least 1-7 years of employment law/ civil litigation in Insurance Defense experience for our Southbury, Connecticut office. Candidates must have excellent research, writing, communication and advocacy skills. Connecticut Bar admission required. New York Bar admission is not a requirement, but a plus. The firm operates on a permanent hybrid in-office/remote work schedule.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:-

  • Analyse complex legal and factual issues, conduct extensive, well-reasoned legal research, and independently develop and present defense strategies on behalf of clients.
  • Prepare complex pleadings, written discovery, depositions (fact/expert witness), motions, and briefs in support of defense strategies.
  • Provide effective and timely communications, information, legal advice, and other services to clients on legal and factual issues.
  • Communicate with the court, witnesses, opposing counsel, and co-counsel in a prompt, professional, and productive manner consistent with established office procedures.
  • Responsible for the prompt, efficient, and effective disposition of assigned cases.
  • Assist in preparing and presenting witnesses and evidence at trials, judicial and administrative hearings, arbitrations, and alternative dispute resolutions.
  1. Billable Hours – 1900 Hour
