This is a six-month contract that could convert to full-time

Job Description:

Are you an Electrical Engineering expert looking for a challenging role in power plant operations? Our client, a large electric utility company, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Supervisor to join our team. In this role, you will utilize your expertise in power plant equipment and processes, including generators, transformers, protection systems, and NERC regulatory requirements, to lead and support various technical initiatives.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with station engineers to solve complex O&M problems and technical issues. Lead equipment life assessments and Root Cause Analysis investigations.
  • Provide technical leadership on NERC regulatory standards, coordinating efforts with various internal departments.
  • Lead asset management teams in developing maintenance strategies, implementing pilot programs, and evaluating efficacy of initiatives.
  • Monitor and coordinate work activities of contractors and internal teams, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • Lead the development of project scopes, schedules, and cost estimates. Review technical drawings and data for accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop and support technical and regulatory training programs for team members.
  • Supervise Engineers, Co-ops, Maintenance Specialists, and other resources.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college.
  • Registration as a Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Florida for Principal Engineer.
  • Minimum 12 years of heavy industrial/power plant engineering/maintenance experience.
  • Preferred Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and 5 years of supervisory experience.


Working Conditions:

  • Industrial environment (heights, confined spaces).
  • Some overtime (weekends, holidays), local/national travel.
  • 100% onsite presence at a facility or plant.


Working Hours: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday
