Key Responsibilities:
- Perform modifications, upgrades, and installations of avionics systems on Army Global 6500 aircraft according to engineering specifications and technical manuals.
- Conduct regular inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of avionics equipment to identify and repair defects or malfunctions.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for accurate installation and modification processes.
- Perform functional and operational tests of avionics systems using specialized test equipment to ensure compliance with safety and performance standards.
- Document all maintenance actions, discrepancies, and repairs in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with applicable regulatory and safety standards, including FAA, EASA, and military guidelines.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest avionics technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
- Participate in on-the-job training and continuous improvement programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
- Provide technical support and guidance to less experienced technicians and apprentices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in avionics, electronics, or related field preferred.
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification or FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License (GROL) is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in avionics maintenance and modification, preferably with Global 6500 or similar aircraft.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting avionics schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with a thorough understanding of avionics systems and components.
- Ability to use a variety of test equipment and hand tools effectively and safely.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance as required by the military.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in confined spaces.
- Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and kneeling.
- Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions.
Work Environment:
