Clean Utilities Technician

Our client is seeking a Utilities Support Specialist to manage both clean and dirty utility systems in a 24/7 pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This role ensures efficient service delivery, calibrations, and troubleshooting to minimize business interruptions. This position is 7pm - 7am Shift 3 days on, 4 days off.


What You’ll Do:

  • Provide on-site support for all utility systems to ensure reliable operations.
  • Communicate with clients and facility occupants to enhance customer satisfaction and critical utility system performance.
  • Manage and host on-site activities of subcontractors performing clean utility PM/CMs.
  • Be available on-call 24/7 for telephone assistance or emergency response, including handling all facility and equipment alarms.
  • Ensure compliance with city, state, and federal license and certification requirements. Maintain and submit records and documents for audit purposes.
  • Review all work to ensure performance aligns with OEM design specs and established safety procedures.
  • Participate in scheduling meetings with operational partners/customers to finalize work order priorities, downtime windows, and lead times.
  • Work with customers to determine resource availability and balance the workforce schedule.
  • Maintain accurate metrics on maintenance task performance and provide timely reports to the Site Manager.
  • Operate within the Maximo CMMS system and provide necessary documentation.
  • Perform other duties as required.


Qualifications:

  • Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.


Education and Experience:

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED.
  • Technical education and at least 7 years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership and management experience.
  • GxP knowledge preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of WFI (Water for Injection) systems.
  • GxP knowledge.
  • Knowledge of USP systems.
  • Experience with clean steam and clean air systems.
  • Experience with waste neutralization operations and dirty utilities.
  • Knowledge of PCA air and instrumentation calibration.
  • NJ Black Seal Boiler License.
