Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc.(HATCI) is looking for our next IT & Cybersecurity Team’s Manager. The Manager will oversee the team’s operations, coordinate incident response, support team members’ growth, and address technical issues. This role requires both technical expertise and strong managerial skills. The position is based in Michigan, but it offers frequent travel opportunities to locations such as California and South Korea, allowing you to engage with diverse teams and projects globally.



  • Team Management and Leadership:
  • Assign tasks and prioritize work for team members
  • Set team goals and manage performance
  • Provide coaching and mentoring, and conduct performance evaluations
  • IT Infrastructure and Security System Management:
  • Maintain and optimize IT infrastructure and cybersecurity systems
  • Develop and implement security policies and procedures
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and enhance security measures
  • Implement applications and align infrastructure with the standards and guidelines from the Hyundai Motor Group HQ in Korea
  • Project Management:
  • Plan and manage IT and cybersecurity-related projects
  • Manage budgets and allocate resources
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Create and manage IT and cybersecurity documentation and reports
  • Provide updates on emerging security threats and technology trends
  • Cybersecurity Incident Response:
  • Coordinate and manage responses to cybersecurity incidents
  • Analyze incidents and prepare reports, including follow-up action plans
  • Handle internal audits and response external audits
  • Additional Information:
  • Work with Sr. Manager to participate in Department’s resource planning, goal setting, and technology road map creation.
  • Travel up to 25% of time.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
  • 9 years of technical IT experience including hardware and software installation, security and technical projects
  • Experience in cybersecurity incident response and IT infrastructure management
  • Experience in team management and project management
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the automotive industry or related fields
  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH)
  • Experience with AWS cloud services (e.g., EC2, S3, IAM, VPC)
  • Experience with implementing and aligning with international IT standards
  • Proficiency in English or other foreign languages
