COGS has partnered with a multi million dollar GC providing high-quality construction management services for a variety of sectors including multi-family residential, hospitality, healthcare, and commercial projects as they seek a Health and Safety Manager to join their team.


Due to increased market demand for their services and several on going projects, they are in growth mode and expanding This has led to increased opportunities for career trajectory and hence they are looking for a Environment Health and Safety Manager to take ownership of their safety procedures.


This position is on site in the Cocoa Beach area with salary up to 110K + 10% Bonus.


Responsibilities:


  • Oversees the health, safety, and environmental programs, including developing, writing, implementing, auditing, and maintaining policies and procedures to comply with company, local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Ensures sites are current and compliant with OSHA regulations, including record keeping requirements.
  • Leads weekly safety meetings and coordinates all Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) training, communications, and program management activities.
  • Inspects facilities for potential EHS risks, identifies corrective or preventive measures as needed, and ensures their implementation.
  • Leads Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations of incidents, injuries, and near misses, ensuring action items are completed.
  • Collaborates with the operations team to facilitate environmental programs.
  • Manages the reporting and follow-up of workplace incidents and accidents with relevant agencies.
  • Oversees the management of site Workers Compensation claims.


Qualifications:


  • A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Occupational Safety & Health, or a related field is preferred.
  • Holding a professional safety certification, such as Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP) or Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST), ASP, CSP, is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant safety experience
