Job Title: SSIS Developer (Performance Optimization)

Description: The SSIS Developer will play a crucial role in enhancing the performance of our legacy SSIS jobs. You will analyze existing code, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement effective solutions to improve data processing efficiency.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough performance assessments of existing SSIS packages, identifying areas for optimization.
  • Rewrite or enhance SSIS code to improve execution speed and resource utilization.
  • Analyze data sources and target systems to identify potential performance impacts.
  • Implement appropriate indexing and partitioning strategies to optimize data access.
  • Enhance error handling mechanisms to ensure data integrity and reliability.
  • Create clear and concise documentation for optimized SSIS packages.
  • Work closely with data analysts, architects, and other team members to understand data requirements and integration needs.

Required skills:

  • Proven experience as an SSIS Developer with a strong focus on performance optimization.
  • In-depth knowledge of SSIS architecture, components, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in SQL Server and T-SQL.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Experience with SSIS packages for large-scale data integration.
  • Familiarity with performance tuning techniques for SQL Server databases.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL concepts.
