What we need:

The Production Planner is responsible for activities involved with procuring & planning of goods and services such as raw materials, finished goods, resale items, or indirect supplies. Support of purchasing and planning duties will be through our ERP system, Inventory Kanbans and product launches for a region of the business. This individual will be responsible for putting the customer at the center of everything you do and modeling all of the Brady Focal Points and Values.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Create, schedule, and monitor production progress, material inventories, and other factors affecting a production schedule
  • Support our customers with expedite requests, product knowledge questions, and other clarifications. Work with all Brady team members to provide excellent on time delivery to our customers.
  • Analyzes production order releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirements
  • Identify any purchasing or planning cost savings and improvements
  • Interfaces with manufacturing personnel and purchasing department on material status and production planning issues
  • Update operations reschedule report with root cause weekly
  • Assist with any Eight Step Problem Solving Processes that affect the work center
  • Be able to work with a variety of departments including, but not limited to: Sourcing, Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Receiving, and Customer Operations
  • Other duties as assigned


What you’ll need to be successful:

  • Associate Degree
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing or planning within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficient with MS Office and/or Google Apps
  • Utilize a positive, proactive, professional attitude
  • Preferred Bachelor's Degree in Business/Supply Chain Management
  • Knowledge of SAP preferred
  • CPM or CPIM certification is preferred or willingness to obtain
