Position Overview:


Amplytics is seeking a highly skilled UX Designer with a strong background in data analytics to design intuitive and visually engaging dashboards and data visualizations. This role will involve translating complex data into user-friendly, interactive dashboards and creating wireframes that prioritize user experience and data accessibility.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Design and develop user-centered dashboards and data visualizations, focusing on clarity, accessibility, and impactful storytelling.
  • Create detailed wireframes, prototypes, and mockups for data-driven interfaces using tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
  • Collaborate with data analysts to ensure dashboards reflect accurate and relevant data, structured in an intuitive and user-friendly layout.
  • Apply UX best practices to enhance dashboard usability, utilizing user journey mapping and information architecture to guide design choices.
  • Conduct user testing and feedback sessions to refine dashboard designs, iterating based on insights to improve user experience.
  • Use data analytics principles to design interfaces that align with how users interact with data, optimizing layout, filtering options, and visualization techniques.
  • Implement visual design standards for dashboards, including color theory, contrast, and typography, to ensure data clarity and consistency.
  • Partner with development teams to implement and test dashboard designs, ensuring they meet functional requirements and user expectations.
  • Stay updated on UX and data visualization trends to continuously improve design processes and deliver cutting-edge user experiences.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in UX/UI Design, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in UX design with a focus on data visualization, dashboards, or business intelligence.
  • Proficiency in wireframing and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch, with a portfolio showcasing user-centered data visualizations.
  • Experience with data analytics and dashboard tools, such as Power BI or Tableau, with knowledge of best practices in data structuring and visualization.
  • Understanding of UX principles, including user journey mapping, information architecture, and interaction design.
  • Strong visual design skills with an eye for detail, particularly in data representation, color theory, and layout.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights into accessible and impactful visuals.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience in additional visualization tools like Power BI, D3.js, or Adobe Illustrator.
  • Certification or formal training in UX/UI design.
  • Previous experience in a client-facing consulting role focused on data and analytics.
