Job Title: Category Manager of IT Procurement

Position Overview: As the Category Manager of IT Procurement, you will play a pivotal role in managing the end-to-end procurement process for all IT-related categories, products and services. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive procurement strategies, negotiating contracts with suppliers, and driving cost-saving initiatives. You’d collaborate with cross-functional teams, influence decision-making processes, and contribute to the overall success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for IT products and services, aligning with the company's overall objectives and business needs.
- Conduct market research and supplier evaluations to identify opportunities for cost savings, quality improvement, and innovation.
- Lead contract negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, pricing, and service level agreements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT, finance, and operations teams, to understand requirements and ensure alignment with procurement strategies.
- Monitor supplier performance and compliance, addressing any issues or discrepancies as they arise.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, optimize efficiency, and enhance the overall procurement function.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies to proactively identify opportunities and risks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
- Proven Procurement Professional with up to 4 years experience in IT procurement, category management, or strategic sourcing within a large corporate environment.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision making.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate cross-functionally.
- Demonstrated track record of driving cost savings, process improvements, and operational efficiencies.
