We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Payroll Specialist with 3-5 years of experience in corporate or high-volume payroll processing. The ideal candidate will possess and demonstrate proficiency in software programs such as Microsoft Excel, Paycor (other payroll software), and Sage 300 preferred. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage payroll operations from A-Z efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

· End-to-End Payroll Processing: Manage the entire payroll process for a high volume of employees, including data entry, processing payroll transactions, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

· Data Management: Input and maintain employee information in the payroll system, including salary adjustments, benefits deductions, and tax withholdings, while ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.

· Timekeeping Oversight: Oversee timekeeping systems to accurately record employee hours worked, resolve discrepancies, and implement necessary corrections or adjustments.

· Benefits Administration Support: Assist in administering employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits, ensuring timely and accurate deductions and contributions.

· Tax Compliance: Ensure accurate calculation and timely remittance of payroll taxes, including federal, state, and local taxes, and prepare and file necessary tax returns and forms in compliance with regulatory requirements.

· Reporting and Analysis: Generate various payroll reports for internal and external stakeholders, such as earnings statements, tax filings, and compliance reports, and conduct periodic analysis to identify trends and discrepancies.

· Audits and Reconciliations: Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of payroll records to ensure accuracy, compliance with company policies, and adherence to internal controls.

· Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to employees regarding payroll-related inquiries, discrepancies, and concerns, resolving issues promptly and professionally.

· Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in payroll processing, including automation and streamlining of manual processes, to enhance accuracy and productivity.

Qualifications:

· Education: Minimum of an Associate's in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.

· Experience: 3-5 years of experience in corporate payroll processing, preferably in a high-volume environment, demonstrating progressive responsibility and proficiency in payroll operations.

Technical Skills:

· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting, and reconciliation.

· Experience with Paycor and Sage 300 (formerly known as Sage Accpac) or similar payroll software, with the ability to navigate and utilize system functionalities effectively.

· Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in handling sensitive payroll data, with the ability to detect and resolve discrepancies efficiently.

· Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex payroll-related information to diverse audiences.

· Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze payroll data, identify trends, and troubleshoot issues effectively.

· Compliance Knowledge: Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations and compliance requirements, staying updated on changes and ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards.

· Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate with internal stakeholders to achieve payroll objectives and resolve issues collaboratively.

· Time Management: Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
