Summary:

Our client within the product manufacturing and distribution industry is seeking an operations focused individual to be responsible for warehouse work including receiving, pulling, packing, labeling, shipping, inventory control room duties, supply room orders and other duties.

This role would support manufacturing teams, and business development co-workers as needed to maintain the highest level of customer service possible. This role has a shared responsibility for incoming calls and overall customer service and support of coworkers as needed.


Duties:

  • Support sales and business development teams ensuring the highest level of customer service possible.
  • Ensure the opening of the warehouse at the beginning of the day, and closing the warehouse at the end of the day making sure all equipment is turned off, lights are off and all doors are secure, including side gate, when applicable and only after shipping is complete.
  • Responsible for receiving/unloading incoming shipments and for loading any outgoing shipments.
  • Manage product inventory counting and inspecting all incoming shipments for accuracy and correctness, and labeling and putting away all product complying with company warehouse policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for pulling products for sales orders, packing & labeling packages for either UPS or FEDEX in compliance with company pulling and shipping procedures.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves and workstations neat and maintaining clean shipping supply area.
  • Facilitate, and procure product flow reports and is responsible for keeping warehouse supplies in stock.
  • Manage warehouse and shipping activities daily preparing Excel spreadsheets and reporting.
  • Supports sales by keeping inventory counts in Zoho Warehouse Management System up to date by completing receiving paperwork for all product vendors, including shipments from multiple countries, once counted and verified.
  • Coordinate international receiving with internal procedures including internal accounts payable and internal invoicing.
  • Supports answering incoming sales calls via telephone as needed.
  • Ensure the responsibility for understanding and supporting established sales policies and procedures to provide proper and effective treatment to customers.
  • Processes all paperwork for orders to include sales orders, pack lists, e-mails, and any prints or related documents as needed.
  • Supports to resolve any customer concerns in an expeditious and tactful manner.
  • Utilizes organization to keep track and record customer sales, history, issues, and contacts.
  • Support company sales and coworkers on an as needed basis as bandwidth allows.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations / warehouse and certified Forklift complaint.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Project, and Zoho Warehouse Management System.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team oriented and fast paced environment.
  • Effective communications skills both written and oral form.


Education:

  • Bachelors or Associates degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or related field is preferred.
