Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:

  • Daily triage of deliveries from lockbox(es)
  • Process returned mail
  • Responsible for processing manual payments through approved RCM tools
  • Daily batch reconciliation
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation between the billing system, bank, and additional payment portals as requested by leadership
  • Partner with internal departments to ensure timely posting and reconciliation
  • Root-cause driven
  • Works in collaboration with all third-party entities that are involved with similar RCM functions that partner with the Platinum consolidated platform.
  • Responsible for maintaining a working inventory of tasks with no backlog, keeping leadership apprised of roadblocks and payer or bank issues
  • Consistently follows established processes and procedures for all assigned accounts and projects to ensure prompt payment posting and account resolutions.

·      Running or creating reports, as well as working on special projects as needed.


Education:

  • High school diploma or GED.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3-4 years of experience in a medical office, hospital setting, or CBO.
  • Prior dermatology office experience is not required but is preferred.
  • Quality written and verbal communication skills
  • Superior computer skills
  • Skilled and knowledgeable with Microsoft tools, including Excel
  • Familiar with medical dermatology terms
  • Professional in mannerisms
  • Able to demonstrate compassion and patience in dealing with others, patients and co-workers alike
  • Able to prioritize tasks, understand provider’s and management’s instructions, and know when to seek information or advice. Immediate and appropriate escalation of trends and issues to management that impact cash, aging, and processes
  • Maintains or exceeds 95% of established productivity goals and quality standards
  • Follows time-keeping and attendance policy daily
  • Follows and maintains patient, account, and client confidentiality always. Adheres to HIPAA and Compliance Policy Guidelines
  •  Completes projects as assigned with detailed documentation on trends and issues to management.

Equipment Operated: Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.


Physical Requirements: Must possess manual dexterity to operate office machines including computer and calculator; stooping and bending to handle files and supplies; and mobility to complete errands or deliveries. Includes handling of sharps and chemicals.
