Virtu is seeking a licensed Psychiatrist in Augusta, GA, with experience in conducting PTSD exams and reviews for Veteran disability claims. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the DSM-5 criteria for PTSD, as well as the unique mental health challenges faced by Veterans.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive PTSD evaluations for Veterans, including interviews, psychiatric assessments, and review of medical records.
  • Prepare detailed reports summarizing findings in accordance with VA requirements.
  • Collaborate with our team to ensure timely and accurate submission of all necessary documentation.
  • Stay informed on VA disability claim processes and PTSD diagnostic criteria.
  • Provide expert testimony or clarification if needed.


Requirements:

  • MD or DO with specialization in Psychiatry from an accredited institution.
  • Active and unrestricted license to practice psychiatry.
  • Experience with PTSD assessments and familiarity with DSM-5 criteria.
  • Previous experience working with Veterans or in trauma-focused settings is preferred.
  • ***Must have a private office or clinic space in Augusta, GA, to conduct exams.***
