Job Title: Sr. Controls Engineer/Specialist

Location: Cleveland, Ohio

Employment Type: Full-time or Full-time Contractor

Start Date: Immediate


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop Rockwell Automation Control Logix, PLC Software in RS-Logix5000, Studio5000, RS Logix500, and HMI & SCADA in FT View Studio.
  • Program Siemens PLCs using Step7 and HMI development in Win-CC Flexible, TIA15.1.
  • Work with Schneider PLCs using Unity Pro XL and HMI in Visio.
  • Design and test Ladder and Function Block diagrams, and debug automation systems.
  • Collaborate with customers to understand automation system requirements, design solutions that add value, and improve equipment performance.
  • Program PLCs, Servo Drives, HMIs, VFDs, and SCADA systems.
  • Test automation systems at factory premises to ensure client requirements are met before dispatch.
  • Commission automation systems at client sites and prepare user manuals.
  • Design HMI graphics and troubleshoot control panels for OEM equipment, including hydraulic and pneumatic control systems.
  • Manage project timelines to ensure targets are met and all software and networks function correctly.
  • Document project progress using field service reports and Microsoft suite tools.


Specialty Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with Ford Fast Standard Templates.
  • Provide technical support to vendors for establishing communication for FIS & QTS.
  • Participate in IT meetings related to FIS, QTS, and PDS.
  • Setup PDS Autosave for TIA, Simatic Manager, TCU, and Fanuc Robot systems.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in PLC and HMI software development.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex control systems.
  • Excellent project management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines and quality standards.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
