Job Title : Ultrasound Technologist(Supervisor)

Location : Worcester, MA 01606

Contract : 12months + Contract to Hire

Shift : Mon - Fri, (9 AM - 5 PM)

Local Pay Range : $55/Hour - $60/Hour

*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, and education.


Ultrasound Supervisor supervises assigned employees and activities for the efficient administration of sonography service line. Coordinates sonography activities across Radiology. Provides direct sonography care as required.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of the Radiology Manager, this role incorporates all the technical and supervisory skills associated with Ultrasound.

  • Reports directly to Radiology
  • Manager Involves technical and supervisory responsibilities in Ultrasound
  • Supervise assigned personnel
  • Handle scheduling, orientation, training, and performance evaluations
  • Make recommendations on employee matters (hiring, transfers, promotions, etc.)
  • Perform and document QA and QC procedures
  • Ensure compliance with DPH and ACR guidelines
  • Responsible for all accreditation processes
  • Manage state inspection processes
  • Monitor compliance with follow-up study recommendations
  • Maintain records of pathological results from biopsies
  • Maintain accurate credentials for technologists and radiologists
  • Keep precise records of procedures performed and interpreted
  • Update and maintain medical audit analysis with lead interpreting physician
  • Perform related administrative tasks as necessary


Required Qualifications:

• Recent 3 years ultrasound experience required; certified breast tech highly desired

• 1-2 years of supervisory experience strongly preferred

• Must be a graduate of an AMA accredited ultrasound program or equivalent

• Must be certified by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)

• Must be competent to perform ultrasound exams on newborns, children, adults, and geriatric patients, meeting all department guidelines

• Must maintain all required continuing education credits and licensure during employment

• Must be BLS (Basic Life Support) certified and maintain this certification during employment

• Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position

• Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role.
