Hands-On QA Manager (Manual and Selenium Automation Testing)

Position Overview: As the Hands-On QA Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and testing within our organization. You will manage a team of QA engineers and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality delivery of our products. This role requires a strong background in both manual testing methodologies and automated testing frameworks, particularly Selenium.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement QA strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our testing processes.
  • Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, providing guidance on best practices for both manual and automated testing.
  • Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium WebDriver.
  • Perform hands-on testing as needed, including functional, regression, integration, and acceptance testing.
  • Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve issues and bugs early in the development cycle.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Continuously monitor and report on the progress of testing efforts, ensuring that deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and new technologies in QA and test automation.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 7+ years experience in a QA management or leadership role.
  • Strong experience with manual testing techniques and methodologies.
  • Expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated tests using Selenium WebDriver.
  • Hands-on experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, .NET ) for test automation.
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software products.
  • Familiarity with SDET testing process is a big plus.
