Transportation Analyst

IntePros is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Transportation Analyst to join a multi-national e-commerce company. In this role, you will report to the Transportation Billing Manager and be responsible for ensuring accurate billing allocations, tracking invoice activity, and supporting the monitoring and management of billing KPIs to ensure financial accuracy and operational efficiency.

Hours- Mon-Friday 9 am-3 pm est

Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with the Transportation Billing Manager to ensure accurate billing allocations and invoice reconciliation across all transportation activities.

· Track and monitor invoice activity to ensure timely and accurate billing of transportation services.

· Assist in the development, monitoring, and actioning of key billing KPIs, identifying trends, and providing insights for process improvement.

· Conduct detailed analyses of billing data to identify discrepancies or potential errors, and work with relevant teams to resolve issues promptly.

· Maintain and update billing records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures.

· Support the implementation and monitoring of billing best practices, including process improvements and system automation to streamline operations.

· Collaborate with internal teams, including transportation operations and finance, to ensure billing practices align with broader business objectives.

· Assist in preparing regular financial and operational reports related to billing, providing actionable insights to the management team.

· Support the investigation and resolution of customer billing disputes, working closely with customer service teams and external stakeholders when necessary.

· Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices related to transportation billing and cost management.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Billing Specialist) are a plus.

· Proven experience working in billing, cost management, or a related analytical role, preferably within the transportation or logistics industry.

· Strong familiarity with transportation billing processes and systems, including experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and financial software.

· Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret billing data, identify discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.

· Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and convey complex billing information in a clear and concise manner.

· Proficient in data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel; experience with FileZilla, SQL or similar tools is a plus.

· Knowledge of transportation billing regulations and standards is highly desirable.
