Bridal Seamstress

We are looking for an experienced and seasoned Bridal Seamstress to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in garment construction, alteration, and repair in the bridal and formalwear industry. The successful candidate will be able to work with a variety of fabrics and materials, as well as demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracy. We are looking for someone who is able to work independently and efficiently in order to meet tight deadlines. The candidate must be able to work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide superior customer service in fitting appointments
• Excellent communication skills with the customer
• Demonstrate the ability to alter garments, specifically evening wear and bridal gowns, from start to finish
• Pinning skills
• Sewing skills
• Customizations such as changing necklines, backlines, and adding/creating custom sleeves
• Measure and cut fabric according to patterns.
• Sew garments using a variety of techniques, including hand-stitching, machine-stitching, and serging .
• Use a variety of tools such as scissors, needles, pins, and seam rippers.
• Repair and alter garments as needed.
• Ensure that all seams are even and that the garment fits properly.
• Press garments to remove wrinkles and ensure proper fit.
• Must be able to commute to Andover, Ma

Experience:

• Professional Bridal Alterations: 5 years (Preferred)

Work Location: In person - Must be able to commute to Andover, MA
