Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Node.js and AWS Developer to join our team in Atlanta, GA. This position offers a hybrid work environment, requiring 2 days onsite per week. As a Lead Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable applications on AWS infrastructure, with a focus on Node.js. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions and provide technical leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable applications using Node.js and AWS.
  • Architect and implement cloud-based solutions leveraging AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, and more.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to define project requirements and deliverables.
  • Ensure code quality, best practices, and security standards are maintained across all projects.
  • Mentor and guide junior developers, conducting code reviews and providing technical advice.
  • Troubleshoot, optimize, and improve existing applications to enhance performance and scalability.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to continually improve development practices.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in Node.js development.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS, including services like Lambda, EC2, S3, RDS, API Gateway, and CloudFormation.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing development teams or projects.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and serverless computing.
  • Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies like React.js or Angular.
  • Knowledge of database design and management, particularly with PostgreSQL or DynamoDB.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
