Job Summary:

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is responsible for providing direct one-on-one or small group therapy to clients based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles. The RBT works closely with clients, families, and supervisors to implement individualized behavior intervention plans, collect data, and ensure positive outcomes for the clients.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement ABA Programs:
  • Carry out behavior intervention plans (BIPs) as designed by the supervising BCBA.
  • Use ABA strategies such as reinforcement, prompting, task analysis, and shaping.
  • Data Collection:
  • Record and collect data on client behavior, performance, and progress during therapy sessions.
  • Use data to adjust or improve the intervention plan under supervision.
  • Behavioral Support:
  • Provide support during daily routines, therapy sessions, and skill-building activities.
  • Address challenging behaviors following prescribed interventions.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work closely with BCBAs, clients, and family members to maintain consistency in behavior support across various settings.
  • Attend team meetings and provide updates on client progress.
  • Maintain Documentation:
  • Ensure proper documentation of each session, including data logs and progress reports.
  • Comply with all ethical and professional standards set by the BACB.
  • Client Skills Development:
  • Help develop skills in communication, socialization, self-care, academic tasks, and play.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require an associate’s or bachelor's degree in a related field).
  • RBT Certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental or behavioral challenges (preferred).
  • Understanding of ABA principles and techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work with individuals of varying ages and developmental levels.
  • Patience and compassion in working with individuals with behavioral challenges.
  • Attention to detail, especially in data collection and adherence to BIPs.
  • Adaptability in a dynamic work environment.


Working Conditions:

  • May involve working in various settings, including clinics, homes, schools, or community environments.
  • Physical ability to engage in active play and implement physical prompts or interventions as needed.
  • May require travel between client locations.

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • No nights

Job Types: Full-time


Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour


Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week


License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Required)
  • RBT Certification (Required)
