As the Critical Facilities Technician (CFT) you will be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of critical and non-critical data center infrastructure, equipment, and systems.

This role requires a high level of safety and reliability, a commitment to operational excellence, and a continuous learning mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain critical and non-critical data center infrastructure, equipment, and systems.
  • Collaborate with other CFTs to ensure 100% uptime and minimize operational risks.
  • Monitor data center environmental conditions, including power, cooling capacity, and other related factors.
  • Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage all data center maintenance tasks, both planned and unplanned.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment within the data center.
  • Contribute to developing, revising, and implementing about 200 operating procedures and preventive maintenance inspections, including quality control reviews for accuracy and continual improvement.
  • Support the development of data center standards and policies as needed.
  • Quickly resolve electrical and mechanical issues while minimizing risks and reporting issues to the appropriate chain of command.
  • Respond to emergencies and other critical issues, working independently or as part of a team as required.
  • Troubleshoot and document technical issues, escalating when needed, and ensuring proper resolution.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Prior military or technical school training (preferred).
  • 1-3 years of experience in mission-critical environments (preferred).
  • Electrical or mechanical license (preferred).
