Position Summary:

Our client in the Fintech Cannabis industry is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to join the executive team. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy to drive significant growth within a rapidly evolving industry. The ideal candidate will be a marketing mastermind with a proven track record of success, fostering a high-performing team, and leveraging data to achieve exceptional results.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a cohesive marketing plan to increase brand awareness, market share, and key metrics relevant to our industry.
  • Oversee all aspects of the marketing department, including team leadership, budget management, and strategic execution.
  • Build and lead a collaborative, high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to measure, analyze, and optimize marketing performance for maximum impact.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure marketing activities align with overall company objectives.
  • Support both internal sales and strategic partner efforts by generating a consistent flow of qualified leads.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by identifying and capitalizing on emerging trends within our industry and related markets.
  • Manage and elevate the company's presence across all online and offline channels.
  • Develop and execute effective marketing campaigns across various mediums, including digital marketing, email marketing, and offline initiatives.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including paid placements and sponsorships, ensuring optimal return on investment.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, media outlets, and external agencies.
  • Provide insightful reports and presentations to leadership on marketing plans, performance, key initiatives, and results.
  • Partner with the CEO and Finance team to manage budgets and develop monthly/quarterly plans.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of marketing experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or C-level role.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing successful marketing strategies within a FinTech or related high-growth industry.
  • Understanding of our industry's regulatory environment is a plus.
  • Exceptional leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in marketing analytics tools and a strong data analysis skillset to inform decision-making.
  • Experience with CRM platforms like Salesforce.com is a strong plus.
  • Innovative thinker with a results-driven approach and a knack for juggling multiple priorities.
  • Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and make a significant impact.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with a high-achieving team.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, but not accounting experience, are required.
