We are hiring an Industrial Engineer for our long-standing client, a global automotive glass manufacturer, for their Bellefontaine facility. This Industrial Engineer will lead and implement lean methodologies, operational excellence initiatives and best practices to ensure quality standards at the plant.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain manufacturing routes for maximizing space, efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with industry safety and design standards and guidelines.
• Lead and design Lean Manufacturing goals and strategies to promote operational excellence.
• Prepare and report Continuous Improvement initiatives and cost reduction activities.
• Review, analyze and evaluate organizational metrics.
• Develop tools to capture, analyze and chart KPIs.
• Promote and develop skills to create a Lean culture, promoting teamwork and sharing best practices.
• Lead, train and mentor on Kaizen events that lead to safety, quality and productivity savings.

Primary Requirements:

• BS Engineering, preferably Industrial Engineering
• 5+ years manufacturing and/or automotive experience
• Technical knowledge of lean manufacturing systems and tools
• Hands-on mechanical experience with automotive or similar products
• Customer oriented and self-motivated with ability to work independently
• Six Sigma Green Belt certification preferred
