Job Description:

Translarity seeks a Senior R&D Engineer for our Hutto, Texas facility with a background in Mechanical Engineering or Material Science to design test fixtures and develop methods for evaluating and improving product performance. This person will work closely with our in-house manufacturing and assembly groups to create and evaluate new products. Applicant will be given opportunities to expand into and develop other company processes as well.

• Understand basic GD&T
• Strong user of SolidWorks and 2D CAD
• Mechanical and thermal simulation experience
• Strong experimental design, root cause analysis, and problem-solving skills
• Hands on skills with lab equipment (load cells, power supplies, meters, etc.)
• Ability to work independently, as well as with small teams
• Ability to learn metrology tools
• Ability to design fixturing and manufacturing aids
• Develop processes and enable improvements on standard and new product releases
• Research suppliers for process equipment and materials
• The successful candidate will report to the Worldwide Director of Mechanical Engineering.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Masters or PhD preferred
• Experience in a fast-paced development environment
• Experience understanding customer needs and delivering solutions on short timelines
• At least two years of SolidWorks experience

• Metrology Tools: 3 years (Preferred)
• AutoCAD: 3 years (Preferred)
• Probe Card: 5 years (Preferred)
• SolidWorks: 3 years (Preferred)
