An electric utility client is looking for an IT Project Analyst to support projects under the Customer Service portfolio, and to provide general business and/or systems analysis support to Program Managers, Project Managers and Delivery Managers.

Location: Rosemead, CA 91770 (Hybrid)

Position: IT Project Analyst

Pay Rate: $50/hr. on W2

Duration: 12 months or longer

Schedule: M-F, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

***Hybrid, 1 day a week – every Wednesday onsite***


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Analysis Support

  1. Work with functional business and technical leads team members to produce work papers key deliverables and project artifacts such as requirements user stories design documentation and other technical deliverables in the course of project execution
  2. Provide project controls for managing document versions scope change requests etc utilizing SCE standard tools including SharePoint UMT360 Octane and other tools
  3. Capture monitor and drive closure on action items risks issues decisions record and track items in logs including aging and escalations as needed


Project Management Support

  1. Support SCE Delivery Manager in collecting and generating status updates for various project workstreams
  2. Maintain project data in SCE standard project documentation tools UMT360 Octane


Testing

  1. Collaborate with testing leads to produce and maintain relevant testing deliverables including but not limited to UAT test plan, test scenarios test cases and test data, test scripts, expected results
  2. Coordinate and support test execution including scheduling of resources and daily test plan execution
  3. Provide daily status of test execution against plan


Project Coordination

  1. Meeting scheduling facilitation scribing and distribution of meeting notes
  2. Coordination of documentation collection and sign-off
  3. Miscellaneous administrative tasks


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Required Bachelors degree in Business Information Technology or technical field
  2. Microsoft product proficiency (including project plan), Agile, scrum, website and digital (automation, devops, mobile, genAi); Experience with UMT360, Octane and/or Sharepoint is desired but not required
  3. Utilities with customer service, website and digital (automation, devops, mobile) experience
  4. Minimum of 3-5 years work experience, preferably in a Project Management Organization and/or IT function (Planning, project execution, operations, etc.)
  5. Proficient in Excel. Intermediate Excel skills including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, & sorting/filtering


SOFT SKILLS:

Ability to work with others, good communication and not afraid to seek clarification


DESIRED SKILLS:

Experience with UMT360 Octane and/or SharePoint is desired but not required.
