Senior Motion Graphic Production ArtistLocation: Hybrid onsite in Sunnyvale, CA (roughly 3 days/week onsite)Duration: 3 months with potential to extend/convert Pay Rate: $49-$51.25/hr, depending on experience (W2 and benefit options) The Planet Group is seeking a Senior Motion Graphic Production Artist to join our well-known advertising client on a 3-month contract. This is a full-time, 40 hours per week position and will work a hybrid onsite schedule out of their Sunnyvale office.Senior Motion Graphic Production Artist Responsibilities:Responsible for production and post-production of animations using internal proprietary processes and tools as well as industry standard methods and toolsWork closely with Motion Graphic Production Team Leads, Interactive Developers and Design, Video and Software teams Work on multiple projects simultaneously and ensure production deadlines are met with accurate file handoffs for localizationCreate streamlined, organized files with anticipation of the production pipeline, potential technological constraints, and a tight localization scheduleReview final deliverables with an exacting eye ensuring all work meets client quality standards for video and animation deliverablesProvide production solutions through testing, research and prototypingCoordinate training of newer team members with help from Team Leads and Production ManagerIdentify and help implement opportunities for automation, process, design, file format, and technical improvementSenior Motion Graphic Production Artist Qualifications:7+ years experience with Adobe After EffectsAfter Effects compositing and animation experience, with scripting and expressions a plusStrong understanding of the interactive space And its production requirementsStrong project management skills, organizational and leadership skills, and an eye for detailNuke, and Maya to After Effects workflow understanding or experience a plusSolid understanding of basic 3D principles & pipelinePhotoshop knowledge and expertise, including but not limited to smart objects, resolution, and file export optionsIllustrator knowledge and expertise pertaining to vector based animationsSolid standards-based HTML, CSS, and general web publishing knowledgeBatch production, Adobe, Javascript, and Mac based scripting experience a plusRender farm setup and usage experience also a plusHighly detail oriented, with a drive for perfection down to the last pixelThrives in a challenging, fast-paced web publishing workplaceSelf-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skillsEstablishes rapport and collaborates easily Able to adhere to a consistent graphic production and checking process, while also identifying opportunities for improvementProblem solver with experience troubleshooting technical challengesResourceful, adaptable, creative, and results-oriented with high energy and a positive attitude
