Job Description:

  • The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing direct care, medical clearance, education and support to employees and students in the Client research community.
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders including Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), Research Compliance and Biosafety.
  • The Nurse Practitioner will assess, diagnose, and treat work-related injuries/exposures/ illness and evaluate outcomes.
  • The position supports the non-occupational injury, illness return to work program, and pre-placement clearance process.
  • Examines and treats patients independently and in autonomous collaboration with other health care professionals.
  • Ensures proper illness and injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Performs a variety of tasks.
  • May lead and direct the work of others.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.



Education:

  • Requires a master's degree in area of specialty.
  • Certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP), and state authority for advanced practice.
