We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team at Great Lakes Landscape Supply, a leading landscape supply company in Michigan. As the primary point of contact between our company and potential customers, you will play a crucial role in driving sales and expanding our customer base. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of the landscaping industry, and a proven track record in sales.


Responsibilities:


Prospecting and Customer Acquisition:

- Identify and target potential customers within the local market.

- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of leads through cold calling, networking, and other sales strategies.


Product Knowledge:

- Thoroughly understand the landscape supply products and services offered by the company.

- Educate customers on product features, benefits, and applications.


Sales Presentations:

- Conduct on-site presentations to showcase our products and services.

- Tailor presentations to address the specific needs and requirements of individual customers.


Relationship Building:

- Establish and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.

- Work closely with customers to understand their landscaping needs and provide effective solutions. Quoting and


Proposal Generation:

- Prepare accurate and competitive quotes for customers.

- Generate proposals that highlight the value proposition of our products and services.


Order Management:

- Process customer orders promptly and ensure smooth coordination with the internal team for timely delivery.


Market Intelligence:

- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions.

- Provide feedback to the purchasing team to enhance product offerings and improve customer satisfaction


Reporting:

- Maintain detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and transactions.

- Prepare regular reports on sales performance and contribute to sales forecasting


Full-Time. Pay based on experience.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in the landscape supply/Green industry or related industry.

- Strong understanding of landscaping products, materials, and industry practices.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

- Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset.

- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.

- Familiarity with the local market and customer base in Michigan is a plus.

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
