Mortgage Operations Manager

As the Mortgage Operations Manager, you will lead the operations of our Jacksonville headquarters. Your role encompasses overseeing loan processing, underwriting, and ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines. You will be integral in steering the success of our mortgage division, guiding your team to deliver top-notch results with a keen focus on customer satisfaction.


Core Duties:

  • Lead and manage the mortgage operations team, including loan processors, underwriters, closers, and support staff.
  • Formulate and execute strategies to enhance operational efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and improve customer experience.
  • Ensure full compliance with all federal, state, and local mortgage lending regulations.
  • Partner with senior management to define performance metrics, goals, and objectives for the operations department.
  • Track and assess departmental performance against established KPIs.
  • Develop and implement training programs and mentorship initiatives to elevate team members' skills and expertise.
  • Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and teamwork within the operations department.
  • Handle escalations and complex loan scenarios, providing expert guidance and resolution.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including sales, marketing, and risk management, to ensure seamless operations and communication.


Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in mortgage operations, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of mortgage lending regulations, including RESPA, TILA, and TRID.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and reports.
  • Demonstrated success in driving process improvements and achieving operational excellence.
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
