Biomechanical Engineer

We are a small engineering consulting firm looking to hire a Biomechanical Engineer. This is a full-time, hourly position with work hours from Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5pm. Our facility in Signal Hill features 10,000 square feet of office, laboratory, testing, warehouse and evidence storage space.

Duties and responsibilities:

·      Perform Accident reconstruction and biomechanical analysis.

·      Perform biomechanical analysis and injury analysis in relation to auto collisions, falls etc.

·      Conduct Slip/trip and fall analysis

·      In-office and out-of-the-office field investigations, including visiting and surveying crash sites and conducting vehicle inspections

·      Issue reports and provide expert testimony for the purposes of litigation

·      Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

Requirements and Qualifications

·      Master of Science or higher in Biomedical Engineering, Biomechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field

·      Professional Mechanical Engineer license a plus

·      Research experience in the field of Biomechanical Engineering and/or Accident Reconstruction is required

·      Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD a plus

·      Excellent organizational and communication skills

·      Ability to work independently and as part of a team

·      Superior attention to detail

·      Self-motivated and fast-paced individual with a strong work ethic

·      Ability and willingness to travel locally and nationally
