Journeyman Lineman

Title: Lineman

Location: Richmond, VA 23219

Hybrid, travel, on-site: On-site at Job sites, 6AM - 2:30 PM or 7AM - 3:30PM, Might have to work night shift or on call as needed.

Type: 9 Month contract with extensions

Pay Rate: $36.00-$46.00

Must Haves:

• Journeyman/Lineman Card - First Class

• 2 years working with high voltage power lines

Day to day:

Insight Global is searching for a Lineman to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with high voltage utility systems. They will have knowledge of electricity, wiring, circuits, transformers, cables and power lines. This candidate will have experience maintaining streetlight circuits and will have the ability to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints. This candidate will have the ability to work safely around low and high voltage wires.

Responsibilities include:

• Installing overhead and underground wires and cables.

• Making terminations, installing transformers and all types of poles.

• Troubleshooting electrical distribution grids and substations.

• Pole climbing.

• Working in confined spaces.
