HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

As the Supervisor of Pharmacy Services, you will be responsible for supervising the technical staff and operation of the assigned pharmacy while performing all of the duties associated with the Clinical Pharmacist. This position is responsible for adhering to established Service Standards and for reinforcing service standards with staff.

Responsible for ensuring efficient daily operations of the assigned outpatient pharmacy, including Technician staffing and workflow, drug inventory, supplies, over-the-counter sales, narcotics control, and handling customer service/complaints.


Accountabilities

  • Responsible for interpreting and dispensing drugs in accordance with provider orders. Prepares and distributes drugs in accordance with Wisconsin Administrative Code relating to the practice of pharmacy.
  • Provides and reinforces patient and family education regarding prescribed medications.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely claims billing to third party payers, responsiveness to audits, and timely payment of invoices.
  • Maintains responsibility for point-of-sale system, daily cash receipts, bank deposits, and day end and monthly reports.
  • Maintains compliance with all state, federal and applicable regulatory standards.
  • Promotes the business to develop continued growth and profitability. Interacts with operational and clinical leadership to develop patient services and improve prescription revenue. Responsible for maintaining the overall appearance of the assigned pharmacy.


WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

Licenses & Certifications

Pharmacist license issued by the state in which the team member practices.

Degrees

Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy.


Required Functional Experience

Ideally 1-2 years of experience in a pharmacy practice.


Required Management Experience

1 year of supervisory experience in leading workflow, managing staff and directing conflict resolution.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office or similar products.
