The Completely Cat Clinic in Omaha, NE is looking for one licensed veterinary technician to join our 17 person strong team. We are located on 10930 Q St. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, and engaged.


Role Description

  • This is a full-time on-site role for a Veterinary Technician at Completely Cat Clinic located in Omaha, NE. As a Veterinary Technician, you will be responsible for assisting the veterinarian in providing medical care for cats.
  • Candidate must facilitate conversations on phone with owners, respond to email communications and help with well-check exams and sick or injured animal exams, routine blood collection, performing in hospital laboratory tests, and assisting during surgery.
  • Support veterinarians in meeting the diagnostic and treatment needs of all hospitalized patients and surgical patients.
  • Must be proficient at IV catheter placement, oral, IV, SQ, and IM administration of medications.
  • Must be able intubate, monitor anesthetic parameters and patients during recovery.
  • Lab skills: perform routine urinalysis, fecal exams, blood count differentials, and routine ear cytology.


Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Veterinary Technology or related field
  • Valid certification or license as a Veterinary Technician
  • Experience working with cats
  • Knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures
  • Ability to handle and restrain cats
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Compassion and empathy for animals


Experience in a veterinary clinic or animal hospital is preferred.
