We’re looking to hire a Freelance UX Writer for our Fortune 500 financial service client.

  • This role is hybrid 3x a week in NYC
  • Length: 6 months
  • Hourly Pay: $60hr. - $68hr.


UX Writer Responsibilities:

  • You will partner with product, design, research and technology teams to craft human-centered experiences (on-line consumer marketing campaigns, promotions, digital UX content) for consumer banking customers.
  • Lead the discovery process on large projects and develop documentation that communicates the user experience, business strategy and best practices.
  • Build a shared vision with multiple departments across organizations (including IT and Business Sponsors) to gain support for strategic initiatives and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain project schedules, track deliverables and establish priorities.
  • Provide copy direction for customer content strategy team, graphic designers, copywriters through creative briefs.
  • Develop content and strategy to deliver customer-centric solutions.
  • Participate in customer research to understand customer needs and behaviors, identify and incorporate data (research findings, analytics) into content strategy.
  • Deliver content components (UI language, product education, etc.) and lead content governance and approvals process.
  • Contribute to content systems (standards, voice and tone, messaging, and accessibility libraries).


Freelance UX Writer Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Enterprise Client or Agency Experience Required.
  • Experience collaborating within Design Teams (with Product Designers, UX Researchers, Content Designers) and Product Managers, and Engineers.
  • Skilled in UX Writing and Information Architecture with a strong portfolio of work.
  • Experience working with brand and copy standards, including style, voice and tone.
  • Confident when presenting work to cross-functional Directors.
  • Advocate for Accessibility Guidelines and Inclusive Design practices.
