Our client, a leader in the biomass and green energy industry, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Planner. This position is critical for planning and scheduling routine, preventative, predictive, and outage-related maintenance activities to maximize labor efficiency in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.

You would be the ideal candidate if you have worked in an industrial manufacturing setting, managed and propertly maintained a CMMS system in the past, have planned and organized shutdowns, TPM activities and have excellent organization skills.



Responsibilities:


  • Prioritize safety in all work order planning.
  • Review and ensure accuracy of work orders and requests.
  • Develop written maintenance plans that clearly communicate work scope and maximize productivity.
  • Arrange for necessary materials, parts, and tools before scheduling work.
  • Coordinate maintenance planning activities and ensure compliance with safety and organizational policies.
  • Act as a liaison among departments to coordinate maintenance activities.
  • Plan and coordinate contractor support and assign personnel for contract work.



Essential Duties:


  • Develop detailed job plans for repairs, alterations, and preventative maintenance.
  • Prepare and update weekly work schedules for maintenance staff.
  • Manage the backlog of maintenance work orders and ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain the workflow process (work identification, planning, scheduling, execution, and auditing).
  • Administer the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), including plant support and training.
  • Generate PM data and required reports for monitoring performance.
  • Maintain equipment manuals, BOMs, and job plan database.
  • Lead the planning, scheduling, and optimization of maintenance activities.



Qualifications:


  • Two (2) years of planning experience in a manufacturing environment or four (4) years of combined relevant education, planning, and technical experience.
  • Knowledge of CFR 1910, OSHA, company policies, and environmental regulations.
  • Proficiency with computers and CMMS programs (eMaint preferred).
  • Strong understanding of process controls and computer systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, motivational, teamwork, and leadership skills.


Working Conditions:


  • Ability to work in outdoor environments with temperatures above 100 degrees and below 32 degrees.
  • Willingness to work in hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environments.
  • Strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment.


Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day.
  • Willingness to work around moving equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to pull and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Consistent, safe, and successful performance of essential job functions in accordance with ADA and other standards.
