$42-56/hr W2

Job Summary

Mechanical Designer to perform 100% of their time performing QA/QC reviews of PDF drawings and CAD drawing audits utilizing

Blue Beam Revu and AutoCAD 2024. This will involve internal drafting and external consultant project drawing reviews. Candidate will

be working under the guidance of the Transmission Drafting Supervisor and/or Mechanical Designer.

Key Accountabilities

Working with mechanical designer / Drawing file management Lead to create project folders for legacy as-builts projects

Lead contract mechanical drafters on legacy as-built project.

Perform quality assurance for completeness, and accuracy of CAD mechanical drawings via PDF’s review and CAD file audits.

Verifying CAD drawings meet CAD and drafting standards.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years CAD & drafting experience, with industrial plant & process piping design and construction proficiency.

• Advanced understanding of plan & section views, details, and materials lists.

• Firm understanding of welded, flanged, threaded piping & connections.

• Strong command of AutoCAD software

Other Requirements

• Advanced understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel software programs.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Must possess a valid Michigan driver's license.

• Must be able to interpret field sketches and photographs.

• Must have excellent command of the use of reference files, raster images

• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Must have a general understanding of electrical power and control wiring

• Must reside in the state of Michigan
