Our client in Westminster, CO has a contract opportunity for a Program Scheduler who will become part of a high tech team of people developing innovative products for the Aerospace and Defense industry. You will be responsible for developing a multi-year plan that the team must follow to produce the customer deliverable. You will support the Execution Areas with development of standard reports and custom reports as needed.
Title: Program Scheduler
Location: Westminster, CO
Duration: Initial 7 month contract
Pay: $55-75/hr w2
On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site three or more days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.
Responsibilities:
- Review customer contracts and requirements to develop and communicate schedule plans.
- Determine resource needs with CAMs and IPT Leads.
- Lead development and implementation of program baseline for EVM System.
- Oversee schedule efforts for Integrated Baseline Review (IBR).
- Analyze schedules and issue reports for customers and management.
- Act as scheduling SME for a program portfolio.
- Facilitate project scheduling discussions and establish milestones.
- Monitor IMS adherence and recommend solutions for programmatic issues.
- Recommend and implement scheduling best practices and improvements.
- Align programs with SBU strategic objectives.
- Support PMO in achieving business objectives.
- Develop programmatic opportunities/risks and mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate planning and baseline setting across the portfolio.
- Conduct what-if scenarios for schedule impacts.
- Manage detailed production schedules and ensure IMS integration.
- Assist with proposal planning within the portfolio.
- Maintain a regular work schedule and effective working relationships.
- Perform other necessary duties.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills:
- BS degree in a related field + 10+ years of related experience (higher degrees can substitute for experience).
- NASA experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Project for schedule development/maintenance on multiple programs.
- 5+ years in an earned value environment.
- Ability to develop WBS and activity dependencies for IMS.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in program schedule baseline setup and maintenance.
- Experience with proposal schedule development.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills:
- Aerospace and Defense experience.
- - Experience in a Microsoft Project Server environment.
