Job Description:

  • The Talent Selection Onboarding Analyst, within Henry Ford Health, is responsible for organizing and facilitating the company’s onboarding procedures for new hires.
  • In this fast-paced role, you will have a key part in setting our newly hired employees up for success by providing them with best-in-class service after offer acceptance and into their first year of employment.
  • As a member of the Talent Selection Onboarding Team, you’ll take ownership of candidates and all onboarding steps after the recruiting process is completed.
  • You will work on behalf of the hiring leader to complete the onboarding process to meet the expected start date or reset expectations allowing candidates to move through their onboarding process as needed.
  • You will help refine existing onboarding steps and identify opportunities for new experiences that support our desired outcome of a highly supportive and engaged white-glove onboarding process.
  • The individual in this role will be key to the efficient execution of onboarding strategies, candidate support, and process improvements to meet our Talent Selection hiring goals.
  • Our Onboarding Analysts are critical members of Henry Ford Health’s Talent Selection process and provide candidates with a smooth and welcoming onboarding experience.


Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the onboarding process and make decisions to ensure a positive candidate experience by handling day-to-day operations.
  • Build trust with candidates by establishing yourself as the main point of contact, addressing and resolving candidates’ requests, concerns, and IT access inquiries promptly.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to internal stakeholders, coaching them throughout the onboarding process and supporting the development of resources and tools to enhance their experience; be a champion of best practices to aid in enhancing the onboarding experience.
  • Accelerate the onboarding process by proactively engaging with candidates, providing advice, assistance, and follow-up for onboarding procedures and company policies as needed.
  • Engage with and instruct the Talent Selection Team, Security, Employee Health, HFH University, IT, and Compliance on how to facilitate the completion of onboarding transactions and activities, including I-9 processing, pre-hire modules, and other requirements of employment related to their areas of control within the onboarding process.
  • Manage the flow of pre-employment screenings, onboarding sessions, and new hire orientations for compliance with HFH policy and Joint Commission and CMS audits.
  • Develop strong partnerships with members of Talent Selection building a team support approach behind the successful recruiting, offer, and onboarding process for each candidate.
  • Engage with background check vendor to verify criminal, education, employment, certifications, etc. are completed and cleared before the candidates’ start dates.
  • Perform audits and review documentation for accuracy and compliance with applicable Federal and State laws and regulations.
  • Manage steps of resetting start dates when necessary due to delays in the onboarding process
  • Engage with hiring leaders and HR partners when candidate/onboarding changes will alter previous start expectations.
  • Rescind and re-extend offers as needed.
  • Attend hiring fairs at any of our Henry Ford Health locations or other event locations.
  • Perform other supporting activities as needed.


Skills:

  • Two (2) years of experience in Human Resources, business, or retail role preferred. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks, adhere to established deadlines, and produce work that consistently meets or exceeds team benchmarks.
  • Proven adaptability with a willingness to work both collaboratively and individually to achieve desired business outcomes.
  • Strong business insight and understanding of cross-functional work.
  • Ability to work productively and collaboratively with team members and provide extraordinary customer service.
  • Customer-focused, responsive with a sense of urgency.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and proficiency in MS Office.


Education:

  • B.S. or B.A. in Human Resources or related discipline.
