Job Description:

  • The client Robotics Storage Technology Analytics (RST-A) team discovers insights in vast and varied robotic data to help engineering and leadership teams understand how technologies operate across client’s network of warehouses.
  • We collaborate with designers, software and hardware engineers, and operations teams to understand product requirements, make feature trade-offs, design, and operate new applications of client Robotics technology.
  • We conduct relevant, insightful, and actionable analysis and communicate the results through white papers and presentations.
  • Our methods include design of experiments, statistical modelling, machine learning, financial analysis, and data visualization.
  • A successful candidate has experience solving ambiguous analytical projects and will use data to understand and improve robotic technologies used in the client fulfilment processes.
  • We are looking for an analytical jack-of-all-trades who is able to select the right tools to bring clarity to complex questions and help drive technology development and design decisions that shape our actions and outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Statistical testing of A/B and multivariate experiments
  • Design, build and maintain Tableau dashboards and data visualizations supporting new technology launches at client warehouses
  • Respond to ad hoc requests from business leaders to investigate critical aspects of client’s robotic technologies
  • Employ data mining, model building, segmentation, and other analytical techniques to capture important trends in the customer base
  • Participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions

Job Qualifications:

  • 0-5 years of experience working with large-scale complex datasets
  • Experienced with data visualization using Tableau to create end-to-end dashboard solutions and reports which effectively convey results to a wide range of users
  • Strong analytical mindset, ability to decompose business requirements into an analytical plan, and execute the plan to answer those business questions
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL and Python
  • Background (academic or professional) in statistics, data science, or business analytics
  • Excellent communication skills, equally adept at working with engineers as well as business leaders

Reason of request?

  • This is a backfill for a Contractor that was converted. In order to support KTLO for existing AR programs (Nike, Drives, existing fabric fulfillment network), RST Analytics requires a Business Intelligence Engineer Temp to support dashboard requests, data engineering pipelines, and detailed deep dive analysis of testing robotic systems.
  • Existing BIE FTEs are capable of doing this work, but it is not the most efficient use of their time. This work directly supports the bigger FTE analysis to inform on diagnostics of existing technologies and quantify risks to newly released features.
