Controls Engineer (1st Shift) - LOCAL Candidates Only


Major Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and resolve causes of HMI/PLC malfunctions and support maintenance in the event of electrical & mechanical faults in equipment
  • Assist the maintenance department in installing new electronic/electrical control equipment and making it operational
  • Provide training for the maintenance department on the operation and diagnostics of the machine controls and motor controllers
  • Develop programming and provide support for Programmable Logic Controllers and Panel Visualization to maximize both quality and production
  • Improve human-machine interfaces
  • Implement quality improvements


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with at least 3 years of experience OR High School diploma with at least 5 years of experience as a Controls Engineer/PLC Programmer OR a combination of education & experience


Experience

  • PLC & HMI design from scratch
  • Programming Siemens TIA Portal specifically S7 1500 PLCs
  • Design and programming HMI visualization in TIA Portal
  • Implement and change Profinet devices and other network devices
  • Programming skills in SCL, STL, as well as LAD and FBD
  • Programing of TCP/IP communication between PLC and PC or third-party devices
  • Basic skill in SQL coding

  • Must have flexible schedule to ensure duties are completed within the time frame
